When it Comes to Ad Copy Testing,What most People do is to a Split Test between a Control Ad and a Test Ad and with the results decide upon the winner. and the winner becomes the Control Ad and is being Tested with a new copy of Test Ad.

Simply Put,you already know your Control Ad has a Track Record and so you’re betting 80% of your Money on an ad which is sure of Performing and only 20% of your Money on an Ad which looks promising.If the Test Ad is going to be a Great one,It can also show its worthiness in its 20% Occurence and if it had Proven its Record,the Control Ad can be Replaced with the Test Ad and the resulting Control Ad can be Tested against a new Test Ad.

This could guarantee that you bet on the winner most of the times and hence the CPC is always kept the minimum..Does it Make Sense?
