How to Choose Keywords for Google Content Network Campaigns?

Google Content Network is an Entirely Different Beast on its own & Choosing Keywords for Adwords Content Network Campaigns is an art in its own.The First things that people screw up is treating content & Search Network Campaigns the Same and Enabling display of ads in both.

You Can’t run them in same Campaign.You got to keep them Seperate.

Create Keyword Themes:

Unlike Search Campaigns,where the Ads are Triggered by Users Searching for that keyword in search Engines,in Content Network,the Ads are Placed on websites having content relevant to the theme of keyword you’re choosing.

In Search Engine Targeted Campaign,you can have an individual Keyword,in an Adgroup & that can be focused for a particular Landing Page.but in Content Network targeting,you got to have Keyword themes,at least a Minimum of 5 Keywords of Closely Related Theme.Choosing this Theme  of Keyword in itself in an ART.

Content Network Keyword Selection:

You can Use your Favourite Keyword Tool for Creating List of Keywords.Some of the Efficient tools for creating Targeted & related Keyword themes are Google’s Own Keyword Selection Tool,Kewyord Elite,& My Favourite “Wonder Wheel

You can Start with searching Google With Base Keyword.Then Click on the “Show Options” in the top of the Results Page & Choose WonderWheel..This My Friend is the Brain of the Google.This is what Google thinks as Relevant.

Lets Start Keyword Selection,starting with keyword “Movie Toys

The Resulting Keywords are what Google Thinks as Relevant.For Example you are Looking for Keywords for Selling “Transformer Movie Toys“,then Click on that Appropriate Keyword for that List to Expand.

Continue drilling down the Keyword List,and you will have a List of Keywords that are Closely related and Themed in the Eyes of Google.Look at the Example List of Keywords that is being chosen for Content Network.

Use this Closely Related Keyword Group to form Focused theme of the Keywords for Efficient Targeting in Content Network.
